PHILCHAMSH CHRISTMAS GALA - December 09, 2023
It was a night of glitz and glamour as The Philippine Chamber of Business and Professionals Shanghai celebrated its Annual Christmas Gala Dinner on December 9, 2023 at Hua Luxe Hotel. The event was a chance for PHILCHAMSH members, families and friends to celebrate Christmas festivities together, and support the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation.
The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization in the Philippines that aims to help Filipino children from remote areas gain access to education, by providing boats to transport them to school, as well as building classrooms to accommodate more children in poverty-stricken areas. For 3 consecutive years, PHILCHAMSH has dedicated the proceeds of the Christmas Gala Dinner to this cause.
The night was filled with music and activities that aimed to raise funds for the charity. With 50 attendees, the event was also graced by the presence of our honorable guests: Shanghai Consulate General delegates, headed by Consul General Josel Ignacio, Consul Francis Herrera and Department of Tourism representative Mr. Rene Reyes, FILCOMSHA chairperson Michelle Teope, as well as PITAS officers and representatives. The PhilchamSH Christmas Gala was able to raise a total CNY 29,714 from ticket proceeds and donations, which is enough to purchase 2 motorized boats, and 3 self-paddled boats for The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation.
